The Varscona Theatre is located at 10329 - 83 Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta. Our building is across from the Old Strathcona Farmers Market and the Walterdale Theatre, right in the heart of the Edmonton’s Theatre District.

Transit

Our central location is accessible by bus. Edmonton Transit routes 4 and 8 travel up down Whyte Avenue (82 Ave) at regular intervals. Strathcona County Transit (from Sherwood Park) operates route 404, which also makes several stops in the neighbourhood.

Cycling

The theatre is located along a bike route on 83 Ave. There are many bike racks located throughout the neighbourhood, which are for public use.

The Knox Church / Fringe Theatre Parking Lot by Precise Parklink (Lot #1013) has $3 parking after 6pm for our evening performances and $4 parking for our matinee performances. The lot is located just north of Knox Church / Fringe Theatre at: 8403 104 ST. NW, EDMONTON, AB T6E 4G1. And is a two - three minute walk away from the theatre.

Evening flat rate (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM): $3.00

No parking Sunday from 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM

EPark

The City of Edmonton has numerous EPark zones surrounding the theatre. Rates vary between $1 to $2 per hour, between 8 AM to 9 PM Monday to Saturday & 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday’s. You can pay by scanning the EPark QR code (smart phone with data is required) or use the HotSpot Parking app, or pay online. Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Visa Debit or Debit Mastercard will be accepted. The picture below shows the EPark zones closest to the theatre. FREE PARKING

Free parking has been restricted to the residential streets in the Strathocona neighbourhood. If you don’t mind walking a block or two to a from the theatre, this option can be a great to save a few dollars.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING

Directly in-front of the theatre (going east on 83rd ave) there is 2 accessible parking spots and 15 minute loading zone spot (perfect for dropping off or picking up). Additionally, there is an accessible parking spot a little further down the block (still on 83rd ave going east) AND there are 2 accessible stalls in the Walterdale Theatre parking lot located across the street from the theatre. All of these accessible parking stalls are free to use.
